St. John's in These Unusual Times

Updated: Oct 1, 2020

It has been quite some time since we have put "fingers to a keyboard", over seven months to be exact! What has been going on at St. John's during this time? Unfortunately, due to the national COVID-19 lockdown we were unable to open our Orphan center from the months of March 2020 to date. However, we are now on Level One and eagerly awaiting a mandate from the Department of Social Development as to when we can officially reopen! Let's pray it will be good news soon!

Over the past seven months, we have been incredibly blessed to continue to receive food parcels for our children and families from Tiger Brands as well as other donations that have enabled us to ensure that our children are being fed and cared for during lockdown. Our amazing staff members have been diligent in maintaining high sanitizing standards as they make home visits to deliver food packages. Many food parcels have been delivered on foot all over Mohlakeng Township. They are AWESOME!

This has caused us to realize that the time is imperative to raise funds to fix our bakkie/truck to ensure that food parcels are safely and efficiently delivered to those who need it the most. We ask that you kindly consider making a donation to help us fix our bakkie! Please click HERE to support this important initiative (please indicate that it is for the: Bakkie Donation).

We are so appreciative of everyone's continued love, support, and prayers for the children and staff of St. John's during these times! We could not do it without you!
